While engrossed in fine-tuning the latest eLearning course design at my desk, I was interrupted by an email notification from Fiverr — a platform I use often to connect with clients seeking my expertise in instructional design.

The email’s subject line mentioned Project Management, Quality Assurance, Digital Product Development, or Service Delivery, immediately catching my interest. These areas resonated well with my skills and passion for creating innovative learning experiences.

Despite a busy day with deadlines and meetings, I couldn’t resist opening the email to explore the job posting further like discovering a treasure trove of opportunities holding the promise of new challenges and a chance to demonstrate my expertise.

A sense of excitement welled up within me as I realized this email could lead to a project stretching my creative boundaries and making a meaningful impact on eLearning. Little did I know this seemingly ordinary notification would kickstart events shaping my freelancing journey in unexpected ways.

4. Approach to the eLearning Instructional Design Inquiry

The qualities they seek, like attention to detail, honesty in feedback, and collaboration with creative minds, resonate with me.

However, as I looked further into the job details, the hourly pay range of $25.00-$30.00 made me pause. While I understand the need to work within a budget, I value my experience, creativity, and expertise at a higher rate. I specialize in creating courses utilizing Articulate Storyline 360 and developing challenging content that engages learners effectively.

The discrepancy in the budget from what I usually seek for projects leaves me conflicted. On one hand, the chance to work with a team valuing eLearning and L&D experience is appealing.
